This Privacy Policy explains how XTERIOR LIMITED handles information in connection with the Android application Xterior Buildspace, which is distributed under the package name uk.co.xteriorbuild.finish.xteriorline.forma.phase. It applies to the app itself and to the project material you organise inside it.
Xterior Buildspace helps you organise and group building and finishing project material, including photos, notes, measurements, references and files, into editable local working dossiers, and it lets you export or share those dossiers through standard Android system actions. The core workflow is designed to run on your own device.
Local Working Data Stored on Your Device
As you use the app, the material you create and arrange is stored locally on the Android device. This local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow, and it typically includes:
- Working dossiers and the items grouped inside them
- Groups and tags applied to your project material
- Exported or draft summary files saved to device storage
- Images and files the app references on your behalf
Photos and Attachments You Choose to Add
The app supports images and files as part of a dossier, and these are added only when you select them yourself. Photos and other attachments are kept as local app content on the device and are not sent to the developer as part of the core workflow. You can continue working with text notes, measurements and references without adding any images.
Local Content and the Developer
The app does not require you to provide personal identity information to use its core workflow. The dossiers, notes, measurements, references, images and files you create are held on your device, and this local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow.
Because you decide what goes into a dossier, that local content may contain personal information if you choose to type it in or attach it. If you email the company, the company receives your email address along with whatever your message contains; that correspondence is separate from the app's working data.
Exporting, Sharing and External Actions
You can export a dossier or summary and pass it on through the Android share sheet. Both are optional and take place only when you initiate them. Exported files are written to the location you choose on your device, and anything you send through the share sheet goes to the app or contact you pick. The app may also open a web page in your browser when you tap a link. Those external services operate under their own privacy practices.
Saving, Clearing and Deleting Local Data
You can delete individual dossiers and items inside the app, and the app also offers a way to clear all local app data at once. Local app data can additionally be removed through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application.
What the App Does Not Include
The application does not include login or account registration, and it does not use cloud synchronisation or hold your dossiers on company servers. It does not provide payment processing, subscriptions or other monetisation features.
Important Use Notice
Dossiers, exports and summaries are working aids built from the material you enter yourself, and they are not professional certification or project approval. The app does not provide engineering, architectural, regulatory, medical or financial authority, and nothing it produces is legal, financial, insurance or regulatory advice. Treat its outputs as informational and practical support for your own project records.
Retention and Security
Local working data remains on the device until you delete it, clear the app's local data, or uninstall the application. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers. Protecting the device itself, for example with the screen lock you configure, remains with you.
UK / EEA Data Rights
If you are in the UK or the EEA, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, such as access, correction, deletion and restriction, where those rights apply and depending on whether personal data is being processed. Because the app keeps its working data on your device, you can usually manage or remove that data directly through the app or through Android settings. Requests concerning information the company holds, such as email correspondence, can be made using the contact details below.
Children's Privacy (13+)
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised when the app or applicable requirements change. Any revision is reflected in the revision date shown for this document, and the version displayed here is the one that applies.
