Questions we are asked before a fit-out begins

What does an interior fit-out with Xterior Buildspace actually include?

We handle the whole package: design development, partition and ceiling works, joinery, electrical and plumbing coordination, decoration, and loose furnishings. One team carries the project from survey to the final handover, so you hold a single point of contact.

Do you work on commercial premises as well as homes?

Yes. We fit out offices, retail units, clinics, hospitality spaces and private homes. The method is the same in each case: measured drawings, a fixed scope, and work scheduled around how the building is used.

How long does a typical fit-out take from start to finish?

A single room takes roughly two to four weeks on site. A full floor or shop usually runs eight to fourteen weeks, depending on design approvals and the condition of the existing structure. We issue a programme before work starts.

Can we use our own architect or designer alongside you?

Yes, and we do so often. We work from drawings prepared by your consultant, or we can recommend one. If the design is not yet fixed, we can develop it with you before pricing the build.

How is the price worked out, and are there hidden extras?

We price from a measured schedule of works, so each item is visible. Changes are quoted in writing before we proceed. We do not add costs that were not agreed with you first.

Will the site be left clean and safe while we are still using the building?

We phase noisy or dusty tasks around your operating hours where needed. Protection is laid to floors and circulation routes, waste is removed regularly, and the site is secured at the end of each working day.
